WIRED Eliud Kipchoge

Eliud Kipchoge(34) made world history when he became the first human to run a sub two hour marathon. The former Olympian ran the marathon in 1:59:40. Kipchoge was able to achieve this monumental goal because of his relentless training, self belief, and race strategy. His race strategy was successful because it was largely supported by teams of pacers, a car with snazzy lazers that guided the pacers, and an aerodynamic running shoe. The WIRED magazine cover highlights the shoe design made by NIKE.
